Mubende is a district located in the Central part of Uganda.  This area is highly suitable for agriculture, but due to the lack of market for agricultural produce and the HIV/AIDS epidemic the people are not able to take advantage of the rich land to sustain themselves.  The high numbers of orphans, widows and level of poverty is overwhelming.  The region is severely lacking hospitals and access to education.

An office has been opened to begin to assist the people of Mubende.  KKF has donated clothing, books and pencils to the children of Mubende.
