Kirabo Youth Foundation International - Current Project

Kirabo Youth Foundation International is carrying out a series of mini-fund-raising events to support its sister organization Kirabo Kids Foundation in Uganda.  The youth in Canada have started going door-to-door delivering our advertising fliers.

Some of the items the youth are soliciting for include:

Kids items: clothes, shoes, books, toys, swings and play structures.

Generators: solar systems: Solar panels, inverters, solar batteries, etc. These will be used in villages where there is no power.

Incubators: Very useful in mass production of chicks which would be distributed to families to be raised and eventually lay eggs to feed these families. Excess production can be sold to generate income for these families.

Candle making molds: These are important in all of these communities. Candles would be made to provide light in these homes which don’t have power.

Pressure Washers: For the youth in Uganda to be used in raising money for school fees, uniforms, food and other necessities by washing vehicles.

Office Equipment: Photocopiers, fax machines, computers: For use in offices of Kirabo Kids Foundation current branches.

Restaurant equipment: for a catering school to teach the orphan girls and boys how to become cooks or chefs.  A skill recognized anywhere in the world: Mixers, gas stoves, coolers, meat grinders, meat mincers, sausage making machines, fridges, ice cream machines and general cooking utensils.

Construction equipment: For use in building houses in Kirabo Kids Foundation communities. Modern equipment is required to construct proper houses on a do-it yourself basis. A trade school within these communities is required to teach these orphans how to use construction tools. Currently all Kirabo Kids Foundation members are living in huts in the communities of Gulu and Bugiri.

Drills, welding equipment, spray guns, concrete mixers, air compressors, concrete cutters, vibrators, safety harnesses, safety hats, glasses and boots, etc.

The fund raising that is currently being carried out by Kirabo Youth Foundation International youngsters is to raise funds to ship these items to Uganda.  These impoverished communities in Uganda are in need of urgent assistance. Your help is needed.
